Purple Rain at WNYC Transmitter Park

When shall we three meet again? In thunder, lightning, or in rain?

The photo ops are fabulous when storms come rolling in.

The witches of “Macbeth” would love it here at WNYC Transmitter Park on Greenpoint’s East River shoreline.

It’s the perfect place to watch apocalyptic-looking clouds turn the skies purple over Manhattan’s towers — and Williamsburg’s too.

Eventually, the purple rain will come gusting through the park, and it will be time to scramble to a nearby restaurant or bar.

The park is located on the former site of WNYC’s radio transmission towers and an old ferry terminal.

It was created through a $12 million city Economic Development Corp. project that was carried out by the Bloomberg Administration and completed in 2012.
