Friends of Transmitter Awarded NYC Green Fund Grassroots Grant

On August 10th the City Parks Foundation announced Friends of Transmitter Park will receive $2,000 in grant funds from their NYC Green Relief & Recovery Fund. FTP will utilize these funds to further replenish native pollinator plant species in the park’s gardens. We are grateful to CPF for this award, and happy for park goers that will enjoy an enhanced naturalistic experience and bird and insect species that will benefit from bolstered food and pollen sources. Promoting biodiversity in Transmitter is a part of FTP’S mission and DNA. In the Spring of 2023 look for It’s My Park Days to be scheduled for volunteers to have the opportunity to learn and install these plants in the ground.
