Stargazing on the Transmitter Pier
Members of the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York return to Transmitter. They will provide telescopes to view celestial objects in the night sky on the Transmitter Park pier. Join us in this free tour of the world beyond the nocturnal skyline. Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and the Moon are possible sightings. We will be stationed at the entrance to the East River pier.

Observe the Moon Night
Each year on a specific night, all the people of Earth are invited to observe and learn about the Moon together. In Greenpoint FTP welcomes the Amateur Astronomers Association who will set up telescopes on the Transmitter Pier for lunar observation. Since 2010, this annual public outreach event sponsored by NASA and astronomical organizations encourages observation, appreciation, and understanding of our Moon. Transmitter Park Gardening
Come help tend to the amazing gardens in Transmitter Park. We'll be mostly focusing on pulling weeds. Park stewardship rocks. Face coverings are required. We also recommend you bring water and a hat. Riverkeeper Sweep 2020
Join Friends of Transmitter Park and Riverkeeper for a clean up of WNYC Transmitter Park on Saturday, October 17th for the 9th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River and its tributaries. Focus will be on trash removal along the shoreline and upland, and planting of some spring bulbs compliments of Partnerships for Parks.
