Calling local gardening volunteers and students of nature! Friends of WNYC Transmitter Park will be holding a weeding workshop to get a section of the Kent Street garden ready for a major planting. Local gardening expert Damion Lawyer will guide us through the process lending his knowledge about soil preparation and the social ecosystems. Treecyle! Take Your Tree to the WNYC Transmitter Park outpost for NYC Parks' Mulchfest 2018. We'll be tabling there on Saturday Jan 6th providing warm refreshments.  On Sunday the 7th you can drop off as well.  Near the Greenpoint Ave entrance (west of West Street). Bring your holiday tree to be recycled into mulch that will nourish plantings across the city! Join the Friends of Transmitter Park and Riverkeeper for a cleanup of WNYC Transmitter Park on Saturday, May 5, 2018 for the 7th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River and its tributaries.
