Riverkeeper Sweep

Transmitter Park - Riverkeeper Sweep

Join Brown Paper Tickets and Riverkeeper for a cleanup of WNYC Transmitter Park on Saturday, May 6, 2017 for the 6th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River.

Locations throughout NYC and the Hudson River Valley. More than 2,000 volunteers will head for their local shorelines the 6th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep – a one-day event encompassing more than 100 cleanups and plantings along the Hudson River and New York City shorelines from Brooklyn to the Capital District.

Volunteers will meet near the radio building at the WNYC Transmitter Park (Greenpoint Ave terminus west of West Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222). This Sweep site has neighborhood parking, with limited public parking. We ask all Sweep volunteers to wear sturdy shoes or boots, clothing that they can get dirty, and to bring a hat, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle and snacks. This site is suitable for elementary-aged children with proper adult supervision.
