Bird and Plant Walk

July 7, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Transmitter Park Mockingbird

Join NYC Audubon Birding Guide and Naturalist Tod Winston as he helps us identify bird species in the park and how the planted life supports avian life there and beyond. The Greenpoint Avenue gardens in particular were created with this purpose in mind. Let’s get into those weeds.

Please register for free.

We recommend bringing a pair of binoculars and a hat. Meet inside the Greenpoint Avenue entrance.

Tod Winston
A lifelong birder and gardener, Tod has worked in various roles at both New York City Audubon and National Audubon, including program manager of National Audubon’s Plants for Birds program. As a birding guide and research associate at NYC Audubon, Tod leads the organization’s annual Harbor Herons nesting surveys and teaches about birds via trips and classes including his spring birdsong series and Beginning Birding course.
